## Check people in and print their badges at your desk

Your desk staff can scan the code on a ticket, or search by order number, email or name.

They use the same check-in as your door app, and see in plain words when a ticket was already used, refunded or outside its check-in times. The badge prints straight away with your event's logo and color and the attendee's name. It also carries their company and job title from your checkout questions, the ticket type and a QR code.

## Let attendees check themselves in

With a tablet and a badge printer by the entrance, you can open a kiosk link and let attendees serve themselves.

Attendees scan the ticket from their email, or enter their email address and the six-digit code they receive. Then they check in and print their own badge.

Volunteers can work your desk from a registration link, without a dashboard login, and you can stop the link at any time.

## Let delegates pick sessions, and keep rooms the right size

The talks and workshops on your agenda become sessions delegates pick on their order page. Each delegate gets a place, a full room gets a [waiting list](https://www.ticketfairy.com/features/orders-refunds-and-resale/resale-transfers-and-waiting-lists), and delegates see a warning before two picks clash.

Door staff scan tickets into each session from a link on their phone. The attendance report shows who came, who did not and your most popular sessions.

## Help delegates meet the right people and ask questions live

When you switch on your attendee directory, delegates join it from their order page and choose what others see.

They find people with shared interests and ask to meet at one of your meeting times, with a table for each meeting. Exhibitors take meeting bookings at their booth. In each session, delegates ask and upvote questions and vote in polls from a QR code. Your moderator chooses what shows, and the presenter view shows the top questions in large type.

## Run registration from any browser

#### Which badge printers can I use?

Any label or card printer your computer can print to. Choose the printer and the A6 or card paper size in your browser's print dialog.

#### Does checking in at registration also check the ticket in at the door?

Yes. The desk checks tickets in the same way the check-in app does, so a later scan at the door says the ticket is already checked in.

#### What if two desks check in the same person at once?

The first desk checks them in. The other desk asks staff to try again in a moment, then shows the person as already checked in.

#### How many email codes can a kiosk send?

Up to 3 an hour for one email address and 2,000 a day for the kiosk. Each code allows 5 tries.

#### Can delegates pay for a session?

Yes, as an add-on. Sell a paid workshop as an add-on, with the room's places as its stock. The sessions delegates pick on their order page are included with their ticket.

#### How does my desk team scan tickets?

With a USB or Bluetooth scanner. Staff can also find the attendee by order number, email or name.

#### Can an attendee print a second badge or look up another attendee at the kiosk?

No. The kiosk prints each ticket's badge once, and nobody can search for another person's name at the kiosk. Your staff print another badge at the desk and give a reason.

#### What can a volunteer do with a registration link?

A registration link opens only your registration desk. Everything done through it is recorded under the link's name, and you can stop the link at any time.

#### Is anyone added to the attendee directory without asking?

No. The directory is off until you switch it on, and delegates join it themselves from their order page. Each delegate chooses which details others see, can change them or leave at any time, and nobody can download the directory.

#### Can delegates ask a question without giving their name?

Yes, when you allow anonymous questions on that Q&A board. You also choose whether questions show at once or after your moderator approves them.

#### Which event types have Networking?
